Frequently asked questions
Common questions
01What is Fine Line Production and what does it do?
+
Fine Line Production is a production house in Hamra, Beirut, established in 2017. One team carries a project from concept to delivery: campaigns and commercials, documentaries and impact films, animation, social content, podcasts and live streaming. We have worked with more than 85 clients across Lebanon and the Middle East, including UN agencies, NGOs and brands. The full list of services is on the services page.
02What types of animation and explainer videos does Fine Line produce?
+
Three kinds, mainly: motion graphics and infographic videos, hand-drawn animation, and corporate explainers, across 2D, 3D and AI-assisted styles. Script, storyboard, design, voice over and final animation all happen in-house, so nothing gets handed between suppliers. Recent work is on the animations page.
03Does Fine Line produce commercials and advertising campaigns?
+
Yes. We produce TV commercials, branded content and full advertising campaigns, from concept and casting through filming and post-production. That includes work for Kellogg's, IQOS by Philip Morris International, and the Horse Head Tea relaunch for M. M. Sinno & Sons. More on the commercials page.
04Does Fine Line Production create documentaries?
+
Yes. Documentaries are core work for us: human-centered films on social issues, including a documentary for USAID on Lebanese heritage and a film for Save the Children International on the power of music. See documentaries and impact videos.
05Does Fine Line cover live events and offer live streaming?
+
Yes. We film conferences, festivals and corporate events with multi-camera crews and stream them live, for the audience in the room and the one online. We have run streams for Jusoor and OHCHR. The full setup is on the live streaming page and in question 18 below.
06Does Fine Line produce short films and other creative projects?
+
Yes. The team takes part in the 48 Hour Film Project in Beirut, writing, shooting and editing a complete short film in a single weekend. A selection of films is on the work page.
07Who are Fine Line Production's clients?
+
More than 85 so far, including 21 public sector organizations and 35 non-profits, with 7 long-term agreements (Save the Children International, WFP, OHCHR, UNICEF Jordan, ACTED and War Child among them). UN agencies: UNDP, UNICEF, UNRWA, WFP, OHCHR, ESCWA and UNIDO. INGOs and NGOs: Save the Children, Oxfam, Mercy Corps, International Medical Corps, Right to Play and War Child. Brands and institutions: Dar Global, Carrefour, Harvard University and Qatar University. The work itself is on the work page.
08What is Fine Line's video production process?
+
Three stages, all under one roof. Pre-production: research, concept development, scriptwriting and storyboarding. Production: filming, directing and cinematography. Post-production: editing, sound design, color grading and delivery. The client is in the loop at every stage, not just at the end. More on the services page.
09Does Fine Line offer social media video production?
+
Yes. Social content is one of our services, including vertical video cut for Instagram Reels and TikTok. It gets the same crew and the same standards as everything else, framed for the platform. Details on the services page.
10Does Fine Line provide sign language integration in videos?
+
Yes. We offer sign language integration for video projects, with interpreters covering Lebanese, Jordanian and Palestinian sign languages.
11Where is Fine Line Production based, and does it work internationally?
+
We are based in Hamra, Beirut, and manage productions across the Middle East. International shoots have included the Davinci Tower by Pagani in Dubai and Les Vagues by Elie Saab in Qatar, both for Dar Global.
12How can I contact Fine Line Production for a project or quote?
+
We would love to hear about your project. Email info@finelineprod.com, call +961 1 741 744 or +961 3 061 979, or visit us at 204 Matta Building, Makdessi Street, Hamra, Beirut. All channels are on the Contact page.
13Does Fine Line have a studio for rent in Beirut?
+
Yes. We operate a fully equipped studio in Beirut, available to rent for photography, video shoots and other creative projects, with professional lighting, sound equipment and a flexible setup. To inquire about availability and rates, contact our studio manager on WhatsApp at +961 3 061 979 or studio@finelineprod.com. Take a look inside on the Studio page.
14Does Fine Line offer a free online teleprompter?
+
Yes. We built a free browser teleprompter that anyone can use: smooth scrolling, an external projector window for a second monitor or beam-splitter rig, mirroring, a phone remote for the presenter, cue markers, and Arabic/RTL support. On a phone you can pinch to resize the text, use the edge sliders for speed and size, and move those sliders to whichever side suits your hand. No signup, and your script is never uploaded or stored - it stays in your own browser. There is more detail in our teleprompter guide.
15Does Fine Line offer drone and aerial filming?
+
Yes. Aerial and drone videography is available whenever a project calls for it, provided through the drone operators we work with rather than as an in-house department. It is a regular part of how we cover locations, events and architecture.
16Does Fine Line shoot photography as well as video?
+
Yes. Photography usually runs alongside the filming rather than as a separate job: corporate and product photography for brand launches, and documentary stills shot in the field, as we did alongside the demining documentary for Humanity & Inclusion. Our studio in Beirut is set up for both photography and video.
17Does Fine Line produce videos in Arabic?
+
Yes. We script and produce in Arabic and English. We have delivered fully bilingual work, including a COVID-19 awareness animation for UNIDO made in both languages, and campaign films scripted across regional Arabic dialects. Multi-language voice-over production is one of our ten services.
18What does Fine Line’s live streaming setup include?
+
Our live system cuts up to eight sources in real time, including cameras, slides, clips and remote guests, and streams to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram at once, with separate custom feeds when an event needs them. We typically run four to five cameras at 6K, and every camera and audio channel is recorded in isolation, so clean material is ready for editing straight after. Edited deliverables follow in a few working days. See live streaming.
19Does Fine Line make corporate videos?
+
Yes. Corporate video is a regular part of the work: company films, product films, internal films for staff and event coverage. For the ROCK Mutual Insurance launch we handled all the video and photography, from the corporate and product shoot to an internal campaign of employee stories and a closing address from the founder. More on the services page.
