Hasan Dia – Inclusion

DOT

About The Project

DOT is a youth-led movement of daring social innovators who have the tools, knowledge, and networks to create opportunities and transform their own communities. Funded by the Drosos Foundation, Fine Line Production created a series of interview-based videos to raise awareness about the importance of the inclusion of people with physical and hearing impairments in the workplace, and all other sectors of life.

This interview was conducted with Hasan Dia who was born with Spina Bifida. Hasan talks about how he overcame his impairments through competition. He started with the Beirut Marathin and went on to represent Lebanon in several international wheelchair racing competitions, as well as winning the Bucharest International Half Marathon. He talks about his difficulties in finding accessible locations and gyms to train at in Lebanon, and how he took matters into his own hands with the Smart Trainer Machine.

All pre-production, production and post-production was executed by Fine Line Production. This included research, sound design, team and equipment assembly, filming, editing, and color grading.
